Students make threats to hurt themselves or others using social media, cell phones or in conversations with peers. This academy offers threat assessment training considered to be “best practice” by the U.S. Dept. of Ed. and the U.S. Secret Service and will enable participants to assess the severity of a threat, analyze the safety of the students and staff, and develop a plan of action to protect them. Valuable resources, including documentation, scripted protocols as well as guidance for decision making for students with IEP’s, 504, and/or BIP plans and SB100 compliance are included with the course.
This academy can benefit teams as much as the individual. We are offering the following special group rate for teams in which not everyone needs administrator academy credit.*
IPA members desiring administrator academy credit: $160
Those not requiring administrator academy credit, including non-administrative:$100**
*Groups must include at least 3 participants.
**If no one needs administrator academy credit in the group, the first name on the group registration will be charged $160, with the other members of the group being charged $100 per person.
